Why this is hard to judge on your own
Most people have no idea what restoration work costs. A finished basement that looks manageable can run twelve thousand dollars. A stain on a ceiling that looks alarming can be six hundred.
Deductibles keep climbing, so the gap between those two numbers is now the whole decision. And you are usually making it in the first few hours, with wet carpet under your feet.

Every affected room. We find where the water went, including the places you cannot see.
We take readings and photographs
Moisture readings behind the surfaces, and photographs of everything we find. You get copies either way.
We give you a straight number
A realistic range for what this costs to put right, and whether that number is likely to land over or under your deductible.
What we will not do
We will not tell you to file a claim. That decision is yours and your agent's, and anyone who pushes you toward it has an interest in the answer.
What we will say is what the work costs. If it is going to run well past your deductible, we will tell you that and suggest you call your agent. If it is small enough to handle without a claim, we will tell you that too, and quote you for it.
You keep the file, whether you hire us or not

How long does it take?
Usually around thirty minutes for a typical residential loss. We walk every affected room, take moisture readings, photograph what we find, and give you a realistic range before we leave.
